‘Search of Light in Desperation’

The programme, combining art song and arias, hopes to reflect times of hardship, different struggles, and testing times. Although despite what may often seem as never ending, there can be glimmers of light and hope along the way that can be held on to. But she hopes that like life, it won’t all be doom and gloom!

Music at Lunchtime, St John’s Concert Series Taunton.

Soprano Soloist for ‘Suscepit Isreal’ Bach Magnificat with Eloise Routledge (Soprano) and Louise Innes (Mezzo-Soprano) for Taunton Choral Society’s ‘Nelson’ concert.

On the 7th of December, Sarah sang with Taunton Choral Society in their concert The Lark Ascending’. She was the soprano soloist in Michael Tippett’s Five Negro Spirituals. The concert also included Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs and The Lark Ascending with extracts of Fauré’s Requiem and Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem. Sarah took part in the ‘Organ Renovation Celebration Concert’ held by St Mary  Magdalene Church (Taunton) on the 12th October 2019. This was to celebrate the recent renovation of their Father Willis Organ.

On the 24th November 2018, Sarah stood in last minute as the soprano soloist for Wellington Choral Society’s concert ‘Remembrance – 100 years’. It was a beautiful and emotional concert marking her first time as both a choir member and soloist with WCS. Thanks must go to the conductor, Laurence Blyth, and to all who were involved and worked so hard to make it such a special event.

On the 11th August 2018, Sarah along with her colleague Maria Willis and Samuel Aird performed an evening’s recital of solos and duets. A total profit of around £1000 was raised for St Mary’s Church, Nettlecombe.
